Beachcroft makes professional risk and intelligence appointments

Beachcroft LLP has appointed a partner and two associates to its professional and financial risk and specialist and international risk teams.

Paul Davison takes up the role of partner in the professional and financial risk group and will focus on work across the north of England, principally working out of the firm’s Leeds office.

Joining from Eversheds, he has broad Lloyd’s and companies’ insurance market experience and has advised on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious commercial insurance issues.

Beachcroft has also appointed two associates to the firm’s Eastcheap London office: Hans Allnutt has joined the specialist and international risks group, and Dan Silver has joined the professional and financial risk group.

In addition, the commercial law firm has appointed Bryan Houston as head of intelligence.

Mr Houston has 22 years of operational military experience and was most recently the surveillance & covert penetration team manager for HM Armed Forces.

His experience includes the formation and management of bespoke intelligence teams, often supporting national and international intelligence operations.

Lorraine Carolan, head of Beachcroft’s claims validation team, has confirmed that she will be recruiting eight more intelligence analysts, in a move that will allow the team to work more closely with the Insurance Fraud Bureau.

Ms Carolan comments: “We have grown our client base significantly over the last year and are now widely recognised as one of the leading fraud teams in the UK.”
