Sterling appoints broker development director
July 29th, 2010 | by Savannah Royston |Sterling Insurance has promoted senior development manager, James Guthrie, to associate director responsible for broker development.
Reporting to David Sweeney, the group’s personal and commercial lines director, Mr Guthrie will be responsible for developing broker relationships, including initiating schemes to improve service, training and communication.
The change is linked to Sterling’s imminent launch two niche Executive branded commercial products: Executive Asset and Executive Professions.
Earlier this week, the insurer reported that brokers were more than satisfied with its revamped Executive Business offering, which includes cover for the departure of lotto winning employees and PR costs for reputational damage.
In an online survey, the product received “very good” ratings in all categories.
In addition, 75% of broker respondents said the group’s claims service was excellent, when compared with the rest of the market.
